David Johnstone, chief executive of Waverley Care: Ewan has been committed to the Voluntary sector generally and to Waverley Care in particular for many years.  He understands the difference the voluntary sector makes, not just to services but to peoples lives. He will make a great MSP

Richard Holloway (writer and commentator): During elections, both at the local and national level, there are invariably some candidates who are described as having a large ‘personal’ vote. By this commentators mean that support is for the person rather than the person’s politics. In other words, irrespective of political manifestos, there are just some people one would like to see in politics because of the quality of their character and values.

I believe that Ewan Aitken is such a person, and that is why I am happy to support him. I believe that Scotland will be better off having people like Ewan Aitken in her parliament’.

John Park MSP (Labour Campaign Co-ordinator):  “Ewan is a man rooted in the community he seeks to represent. He has proven throughout his time as a Councillor that he is committed to standing up for Edinburgh’s oldest, youngest and most vulnerable people.”

”I know he’ll fight day in day out to win the trust of voters across Craigmillar, Lochend, Gilmerton and Restalrig and all the other communities which make up the new seat of Edinburgh Eastern.”
