At next months Council meeting I will be tabling a motion to once again raising the issue of the cuts by the SNP/Libdem administration to the Number 12 bus. This issue remains one of high concern locally as the demise of this route has meant a whole swathe of my community has no public transport links. It has also meant that there sis no public transport link from the east of the city to the Crematorium. At a Craigentinny Community Council meeting this week, the level of anger was clear even after two years from the initial cut. I will be doing all I can to the SNPLibdem administration to support the subsidy that will be required to restore this much needed service

Why are you putting out misleading information in your election literature, Ewan? My mother received a letter from you this morning, and in it you state that:
“Only a few years ago Scotland had the lowest unemployment in the UK, but now under the SNP we have the highest.”
A quick look at the Labour market statistics ( http://www.statistics.gov.uk/pdfdir/lmsuk0211.pdf ) shows that Scotland is performing as well as, or better than, many other parts of the UK:
Scotland: 8.0%
Labour-led Wales: 8.4%
North East England: 10.2%
Yorkshire & the Humber: 9.3%
East Midlands: 8.0%
West Midlands: 9.8%
London: 9.0%
Northern Ireland: 8.0%
I would be grateful if you could right this wrong by apologising in one of your future election mailouts.
Thank you for listening.

that same piece of research shows that Scottish unemployment is at 8% whilst the UK national average is 7.9%. Scotland’s unemployment is higher than the national average. If thats not clear from my letter I apologise and I will make sure in future I make that clear
thanks for taking the time to write
